Concepts of Web Accessibility

Our Web fulfil the terms of the third priority level of the WAI guidelines (Web Accessibility Initiative) of the consortium W3C (World Wide Web Consortium).

This Web's design has been made following the WACG 2,0 accessibility guidelines, and with the XHTML 1.0 and CSS2.0 programming languages.

With this validation the site becomes improved and easy to use for handicapped and not handicapped visitors. So, through the use of these technologies a clearer and consistent navigation is reached, independently of the user's tools (software) and devices (hardware) used for its visualization.

Among the main adopted measures to maximize the accessibility of this Website are:

• Fast access keys: combinations of fast keys are implemented to accede to each one of the Web site sections.
• Images: Alternative textual versions are included.
• Size of the text: the used sources have relative dimensions, so they can be extended or reduced with the navigator's options.
• Separated presentation and content: this site has been designed using CSS (Cascade Style Sheets), so a faster sailing it's possible while deactivating the style sheets in the navigator's options.
